...interesting.

I'm wondering why?
Often times I end up writing in my journals when I need to dig deep into something troubling.

I've had a recurring thought...I wonder why I don't write in my journal to celebrate as much as I use it to vent and do introspection. Kind of like why people usually tend to talk about a negative experience more than a good one at a restaurant.

So...I wanted to start a thread here to get your thoughts.

Why is it, do you suppose, that people are not posting in this section?

I guess it means that everyone is stressed, time crunched, and not having any fun whatsoever.
People do like to talk about problems rather that good things, it's like "Happy Hour"; no one seems too terribly happy at them, but they get drunk and commiserate about how awful and unfair life is.

I think it was 5 people read the first post and didn't reply.
What does that say?
I think more people need to put in their opinion on these forums.
The more of a community that is built the better this will work.
Don't be shy, this is a non-judgmental place, feel safe and let it all out, you will feel better.

Well, I am having a great day, it is 70 degrees, breezy and the trees are turning some beautiful shades of red and yellow.
It is a good day to be alive.
I've worked out, did some laundry, took care of some business and now I am going for a  walk with Caesar (our Chocolate Lab) and that will make him a very happy dog!

Hi Y'all

I just found this website listening to Hayhouseradio.  I'm not sure why people freak out when it's time to talk about the good side of life?  I think when they get to a place where nothing urgent is expected of them, they don't know what to do.  You know, if some people walked up to the door of Heaven, they'd be afraid to go inside.

Since you get what you think about, I'm thrilled to post today - the sun is shining and it's cooled off a little after we got much needed rain last night.  I'm sitting here discovering new things on the pc and petting my black cat.  He's a big help to me when I get stressed since he's got long hair...I can sit here and pull his hair out and we both feel better!

Here's calling the best weekend ever to everyone who ventures in here!

Dear Vanessa:

Very important point you make!  Thanks for getting a thread going.

I had a wonderful experience that certainly made me happy.  When my husband and I were driving home during a drizzly rainstorm last week, a DOUBLE rainbow appeared in the sky.  Then, a few miles later, a third one appeared!  I was so excited, I felt like a kid again, when the world was fresh and new.  I was in the right place at the right time to receive that gift; such a treat!

Dear Cat,

Your rainbow experience brought to mind an experience of my own.  Recently while visiting a nearby monastery a similar event occurred.  Sitting in quiet reflection while sensing the sacredness of the place and the beauty surrounding me, some friends decided to join me.  Butterflies, Birds, and happy Trees;  They seemed to say "You've come to the right place, come back often and sit with us."

They lifted me that day to a higher place.  I remain filled with awe, faith, gratitude and joy.

To rainbows and butterflies,
Diane

Dear Diane:

It's great that you have found such a wonderful place to just sit and be.

I love my birds and butterflies, too.  This season dragonflies seemed to be in abundance as well!  They followed me everywhere in my yard.  lol

To our appreciation of all that surrounds us,
Cat

I am grateful everyday really just to be able to open my eyes and follow through.  Today, I was chided for being positive.  Someone that was not happy with something, wanted to instruct me in the pitfalls of positive thinking.

What I know is that was his/her story.  To rescue him/her was not my job.  Sometimes EGO gets in the way at this juncture so....

At that point in my story I was finding great joy and gratitude.  I am glad that I have fellow travelers finding this great joy as well.  Thats is as simple as it gets.

God I love rainbows.

Hiya Cat Wink

I love that feeling!

I find that when I look back at moments that I've enjoyed most out of life, they are always the ordinary moments...just simple. It's so powerful Smiley
