I have been divorced for 7 years which was the start of my conscious journey; it was a truly enlightening experience filled with all sorts of emotional ups and downs. If I listen and read what other people have gone through I suppose I am one of the luckier ones; my divorce was painful however nothing like some people experience.  I was lucky to walk away and take the best of my marriage with me and use the worst of it to understand myself and become who I really wanted to be.  I still have a really good relationship with my ex husband; I can't imagine spending all my time hating and despising him, not to say that I didn't, and there are still times that I get really angry with him.  We share a son of 9 who is a delight for both of us and it is because of this common denominator between us that our relationship is a happy one.  We are able to dine together, visit each other at our respective houses and sometime even go on holiday with each other; even though he is re-married.  Our son is developing such a wonderful sense humour and I see so much of his Father in that humour which I just adore and those are the parts of his Father that I am grateful for and love. 

I think what I am trying to say is that we have to find the love in ourselves, you have to dig deep and ask the hard questions and be honest with your answers.  Life is too beautiful to be angry with yourself and others.  Embarking on this kind of journey is not easy but the pleasures are magnificent.

I would like to hear from more people about their divorce transitions and enter into any conversations where I can at least share my experience with you and hopefully help you in any way I can.  Sharing really does make it easier.  I shared my stories with anyone who would listen even complete strangers.
